1. We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-17;
2 Peter 1:20-21;
Matthew 5:18;
John 16:12-13).
2. We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three co-equal divine persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one God (Deuteronomy 6:4;
2 Corinthians 13:14;
1 Peter 1:2;
1 John 5:7).
3. We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man (John 1:1, 14;
1 Timothy 3:16;
Luke 1:35;
Colossians 2:9).
4. We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death being alienated from God (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12).
5. We believe that the only way to be saved is by personal faith in the blood sacrifice, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God; that salvation is a gift of God brought to man by grace (Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:12; 3:16; 14:6 Acts 4:12). We believe that all the Redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever; that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation (Romans 8:1, 38-39; 1 Peter 1:5; Philippians 1:6).
6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord; His ascension into Heaven, and that He is now seated at the right hand of the Father in His present life, there for us as High Priest and Advocate; that He is the only Mediator between God and man (Acts 1:9, 10; Hebrews 7:25; 9:24; 1 John 2:1,2; Romans 8:34).
7. We believe that the church, which is the Body and the espoused Bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this present age (Acts 2:1-4; 2:47; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:25,27; 1:22,23). We believe the church began on the day of Pentecost with the descent of the Holy Spirit; that the establishment and continuance of local churches is thereby taught and defined in the New Testament (Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32; 8:36-38; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11). We believe the Gospel commission is for the church and that it is the obligation of the saved to witness for Christ to the ends of the earth; that Baptism in water and the Lord’s Supper are divine institutions and that Christ desires His disciples to observe them in this age (Matthew 28:19,20; Luke 22:19,20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
8. We believe in that “blessed hope,” the personal, imminent, pre-tribulation, and pre-millennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air for His redeemed ones; and that the tribulation of seven years will follow on the earth, after which He will return to the earth, with His saints, to establish His Kingdom and rule for a thousand years (John 14:3; Acts 1:7-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zephaniah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-6; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9; Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:7; Jude 14).
9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead; the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment (John 5:28,29; 11:25,26; Revelation 20:5,6,12,13). We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the first resurrection when spirit, soul and body are united again to be glorified forever with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; 3:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17). We believe that the souls of unbelievers remain, after death, in conscious misery until the second resurrection which follows the millennium, when spirit, soul and body shall appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, and they shall be cast into the
